The Center for Population Health Research (CISP) is an organism that gathers professionals of different disciplines, with the common aim of generating scientific information destined to improve the conditions of the population’s health, and diminishing iniquity in the access to health services.

The research work developed at the CISP focuses on identifying and studying the factors that influence the health – disease process. Likewise, the Center generates and evaluates interventions destined to reduce the impact of disease, and promotes the formation of high-level human resources in the public health area.

The CISP´s central commitment is to provide quality information, as well as academic and scientific excellence to the community.
